Perfumers' Inspiration
A world of inspiration told by a perfumer
The new citrus collection, a nonfiction collection, draws inspiration from beautiful seasonal memories by three perfumers . Discoverthe process of creating fragrances using meticulously selected ingredients through interviews.

Neroli Dream: The Beginning of a Shining Season
Interview with the Nose, Juliet Karaguizoglu
I heard that the summer you spent in Tunisia when you were fifteen was the inspiration for Neroli Dream.
Hearing about the theme of Nonfiction's citrus collection immediately brought to mind the summer of that year. It was a season when the streets, warmed by the sun, were filled with the fragrance of all kinds of flowers in full bloom, along with neroli. This trip was deeply engraved in my personal life journey, which led me to choose to become a perfumer. Therefore, I still vividly remember all the sunshine and scents of that summer, as if I were painting a picture of it. Neroli Dream is a fragrance that captures the inspiration of that time. ―Excerpt from the interview

Open Arms: A Respite in the Midday Shade
Interview with the Nose, Alex Lee
In the fragrance notes, you mentioned the image of 'a single bitter orange tree condensed into a single bottle.'
Through Open Arms, I wanted to share the hidden story of the bitter orange tree, a tree that has not been widely talked about. In the world of perfume, the bitter orange is the most generous tree, giving everything it has. A single tree yields four precious fragrances: neroli essential oil, orange blossom absolute, orange bigarade essential oil, and petitgrain essential oil. From the delicate floral scent to the refreshing scent of the leaves and the woody notes emanating from the leaves and branches, each individual part of the tree is brought to life in a beautiful fragrance. By harmoniously incorporating all these scents into Open Arms, I aimed to convey a sense of relaxation and comfort, as if embraced in the generous embrace of a fragrant tree. ―Excerpt from an interview
Simple Garden: A Summer's Afterglow in the Garden
Interview with the Nose, Domitil Michalon Berthier
It's a very modern scent, but at the same time it has a rustic and familiar feel.
There's a scene that often came to mind while I was working on the piece. It was my parents' garden in the countryside, a simple garden filled with herbs like rosemary, basil, thyme, and coriander. In the summer, I'd hide in a corner of the garden and eat raspberries or redcurrants. It's a very peaceful and happy memory. The image of that country garden also served as a good visualization for this theme. ―From the interview
